...Elevated fire danger across northern lower Michigan today... The combination of drying fuels, low relative humidity values, and breezy winds will result in elevated fire danger conditions across northern lower Michigan today. Easterly winds will increase to around 10 mph this afternoon, with gusts around 20 mph. Relative humidity values between 20 and 30 percent are expected across most of northern Michigan. These conditions support the quick start and spread of wildfires, so be sure to take the proper precautions to prevent fires from starting.
